Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist -Hopkins, MN Area
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in the Hopkins, MN area. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within local school districts. We are actively interviewing candidates who are passionate about helping students succeed and meet all local and state requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students speech, language, and communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of students progress and update IEPs as necessary.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert advice on speech and language interventions.
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and apply them in your work.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Minnesota state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a school setting.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding special education.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Minnesota State Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited SLP program.
- Pass the Praxis Exam in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Obtain a Minnesota Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology license.
- Completion of a clinical fellowship if not already certified.
- Ongoing professional development as required by state law.
