Blazer Jobs is seeking a skilled and experienced Physical Therapist for a full-time, school-based contract position in Newnan, GA. This role is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to support and enhance the physical development of students within the school setting. The position is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with students, particularly those with special education needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of students physical abilities, including mobility, strength, and coordination. Develop individualized treatment plans based on these assessments to address each student's specific needs.

Treatment Implementation: Provide direct therapy services to students, using therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve physical function and mobility.

Collaboration: Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to student support. Communicate regularly with all stakeholders about students progress and any issues that arise.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other necessary documentation, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.

Program Development: Design and implement customized physical therapy programs tailored to each student's needs. Adjust therapy plans as required to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Family Support: Educate and assist families in understanding their child's therapy needs and provide strategies to support therapy goals at home.

Compliance: Ensure all practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to physical therapy and educational services.

Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in physical therapy and best practices, particularly within a school-based context.
Qualifications:

Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist license in Georgia.

Experience: Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred. Prior experience in a school-based environment is advantageous.

Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Education: Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
