Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist for a full-time, school-based contract position in Orange, NJ. This role offers a valuable opportunity to work in a dynamic educational setting, supporting students physical health and development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with special education students and their families.
Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Evaluation: Perform detailed evaluations of students' physical abilities, including strength, mobility, and coordination. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.

Treatment Implementation: Provide direct therapy services to students, employing therapeutic exercises and interventions designed to enhance physical function and mobility.

Collaboration: Work closely with special education teams, teachers, and families to ensure integrated support for students. Regularly communicate with all stakeholders regarding students' progress and therapy needs.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other required documentation, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.

Program Development: Design and manage personalized physical therapy programs based on students specific needs. Modify therapy plans as needed to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Family Support: Educate and support families regarding their childs physical therapy requirements and provide guidance on how to support therapy goals at home.

Compliance: Adhere to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations related to physical therapy and educational services.

Professional Development: Stay updated on advancements and best practices in physical therapy, especially within a school-based context.
Qualifications:

Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey.

Experience: Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred. Previous experience in a school-based environment is advantageous.

Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Education: Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
