Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Harrisburg, PA
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position within school districts in the Harrisburg, PA area. We are committed to connecting passionate professionals with meaningful roles where they can make a difference in students' lives.
Position Overview: As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work closely with students, educators, and families to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. This role involves collaborating with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and providing direct therapy services to students in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in groups, to address speech and language goals.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy approaches as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals and objectives.
- Stay informed on best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
Requirements: Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements to be considered:
- State Licensure: Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language and Hearing.
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Clearances: Must obtain a Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Background Check.
- Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
