Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) for a full-time substitute position with a school district in Issaquah, Washington until 12/30/2024. This role offers an excellent opportunity to help students enhance their communication skills, which are essential for their academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support for students.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert insights on students' communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Current Washington state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech and language therapy techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
