Speech Language Pathologist - Full-Time in Reserve, LA
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist for a full-time position with school districts in the Reserve, LA area. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to diagnose communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- State Licensure: Must hold a current and valid Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license issued by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (LBESPA).
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check as required by Louisiana state regulations.
- Continuing Education: Commitment to fulfilling continuing education requirements as mandated by the state of Louisiana.
