Speech Language Pathologist - Full-Time inPortland, OR
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Portland, OR area. This role is an excellent opportunity for passionate professionals dedicated to supporting students' communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) based on student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student learning and communication goals.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Provide training and support to teachers and staff on communication-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Adhere to school district policies and state regulations regarding student care and documentation.
Local and State Requirements:
- Oregon SLP License: Applicants must hold a valid Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- ASHA Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required.
- Masters Degree: A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check as required by the state and district.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as an SLP, preferably in a school setting.
- CPR Certification: Current CPR certification is preferred.
