Key Responsibilities:
- Student Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques to help students improve their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and home environments.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to meet goals.
- IEP Participation: Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by providing professional insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Ohio.
- Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable, but not required.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
