Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position with school districts in the Crystal Lake, IL area. This role involves providing speech and language services to students, helping them improve their communication skills and supporting their overall academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students with speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a variety of speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs in the classroom.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
- Educate students, parents, and staff about speech and language development and strategies to support communication.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Illinois state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
