Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Belmont, TX area. We are seeking dedicated professionals committed to helping students overcome speech and language challenges in a school-based setting.
Position Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid Texas SLP License (or eligibility to obtain before the start date).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines and IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).
- Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills for working with students, staff, and families.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Provide speech therapy services in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and student progress.
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in speech therapy.
