Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist - Contract Position
Location: Kent, Washington
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time contract position within a school district in Kent, Washington. We are currently conducting interviews for this important school-based role. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students by providing specialized speech and language services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy strategies as needed.
- Provide education and training to staff and families to support students' communication development.
Qualifications:
- Required: Must meet all local and state licensure and certification requirements for a Speech-Language Pathologist in Washington.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- At least one year of experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
