Blazerworks is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our partner school district in Peyton, CO, for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to work in a dynamic school setting, helping students achieve their educational and developmental goals through tailored occupational therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists (OTs) in providing therapeutic interventions to students in line with their individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors to promote academic success and independence.
- Collaborate with educators, school staff, and parents to ensure seamless integration of therapy goals in the classroom.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
- Adapt and modify activities based on each student's specific needs.
- Provide input and feedback during team meetings regarding student progress and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Valid COTA certification in Colorado.
- Prior experience working with children or in a school-based setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
