Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for part-time and full-time roles with school districts in the Marshall, Michigan area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students of various age groups, helping them improve their speech and language skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
- Provide direct speech therapy in individual or group settings.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student development.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide professional input.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid Michigan State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.
- Michigan Department of Education Certification for working in school settings is preferred.
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly desirable.
