Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) for a school-based role with a local school district. This position offers an opportunity to work in an educational setting, supporting students with special needs to improve their functional skills and achieve their academic goals.
Position Title: School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Occupational Therapy Programs: Work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to implement therapy plans that help students improve their daily living and academic skills.
- Provide Direct Therapy Services: Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions focused on fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional activities.
- Student Progress Monitoring: Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy activities as needed to meet individual goals.
- Collaboration with Educational Team: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment.
- Support IEP Goals: Assist in carrying out Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
Requirements:
- A current and valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state where the school district is located.
- Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required.
- At least one year of experience as an COTA, preferably in a pediatric or school-based setting.
