Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate School Psychologist for a full-time position in a school district in Columbia, MO. This role offers 35 hours per week and focuses on providing essential psychological support to K-12 students.
Position Overview:
As a School Psychologist, you will be responsible for assessing students psychological needs and developing individualized intervention plans tailored to each student's unique challenges. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to implement effective strategies that promote emotional well-being and enhance academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify student needs and create individualized intervention plans.
- Prepare and write detailed reports based on assessments and evaluations.
- Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and engagement.
- Provide counseling and support to students as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with K-12 students is preferred.
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
