Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) for a full-time role with school districts in the area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing speech and language services to students.
- Implement therapy activities and strategies designed by SLPs to improve students' communication skills.
- Work directly with students in individual or group settings under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
- Support the development and use of communication devices and systems.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student goals.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
- Valid state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Understanding of local and state regulations related to speech-language services in schools.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
