Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time role within school districts in the Columbus, NE area. Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's communication needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to address articulation, fluency, voice, language, and social communication challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication goals within the classroom setting.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to ensure effective treatment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including evaluations, progress notes, and required documentation for compliance.
- Participate in IEP meetings to provide insights on student needs and recommend strategies for effective learning and communication support.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Current Nebraska licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Prior experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Familiarity with special education regulations and IEP processes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
