We are now hiring a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with K-12 students! Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders in a K-12 setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), tailored to each student's specific communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure successful integration of therapy goals into classroom activities.
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions (onsite or virtual) for speech articulation, language development, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Monitor and track progress, updating IEPs and therapy strategies to meet evolving student needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Onsite or virtual therapy services, tailored to your preference and student needs.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of evaluations, interventions, and student progress.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of communication disorders, IEP processes, and both onsite and virtual therapy platforms.
- Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about improving students communication skills and overall educational success.
