School Psychologist Part Time Fall 2024
Location:Ontario, CA
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a full timeposition within school districts in the Ontario, California area for fall of 2024. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the academic, emotional, and social development of students. This role would entail 24 hours/week through 12/20/2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs, strengths, and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing issues such as learning difficulties, emotional regulation, and social skills development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment and develop strategies for student success.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss students' progress and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide recommendations for instructional and behavioral strategies.
- Offer crisis intervention and support during emergency situations.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and contribute to ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid CA School Psychologist certification.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education and psychological services.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and a range of psychological issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
