Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time role within school districts in the Jarrell, TX area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing speech-language treatment plans developed by licensed SLPs.
- Provide direct therapy to students under the supervision of an SLP.
- Document and track student progress, ensuring accurate data collection for review.
- Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and other school personnel to provide appropriate support.
- Help prepare materials for therapy sessions.
- Support the development of communication skills in individual or group settings.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to discussions about student progress.
- Maintain compliance with state and district protocols for student care.
Requirements:
- Completion of a masters degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
- A valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist assistant granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA).
- Completion of required clinical hours or experience working under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Pass a background check as required by the state and school district.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
