Requirements:
- Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Licensure: Valid Texas Occupational Therapist License
- Experience: Previous experience working with school-aged children in a clinical or educational setting is preferred
- Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills; ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and student goals
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in various educational settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students educational and therapeutic needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support students' functional abilities in the school environment
