Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time position with school districts in the Asheboro, NC area. We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide comprehensive psychological services to students, helping them overcome academic, social, and emotional challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessments.
- Provide direct counseling services to students, both individually and in groups, addressing various issues including academic stress, social skills, and behavioral problems.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to create supportive learning environments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, offering expert recommendations and insights regarding students' needs.
- Assist in crisis intervention, including risk assessments and emergency response planning.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid North Carolina state licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Certification by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) is preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
