School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the New Lenox, IL area. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate professionals to provide high-quality speech and language services to students, helping them achieve their communication goals.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services in various settings including classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to integrate speech and language goals into the educational environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and assessments.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations on students' communication needs.
- Engage in professional development to stay updated on best practices and new developments in the field of speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
