Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time position with school districts in the Greenville, GA area. We are interviewing candidates who are passionate about helping students reach their full potential and meet all local and state requirements.
Position Overview: As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with students to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and learning skills necessary for success in the school environment. Your role will involve assessing students' needs, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy that addresses their unique challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals for each student.
- Provide direct therapy services to students to help them improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom setting.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for occupational therapy services.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school district, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Georgia state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must pass background checks and meet all state and local requirements for school-based occupational therapists.
