Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide essential psychological services at one elementary school site. The ideal candidate will support students' mental health and academic success through individual counseling and assessments.
Key Responsibilities:

Counseling Services: Provide individual counseling for two identified students, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct approximately 30 psychological assessments throughout the school year, including eligibility evaluations and behavioral assessments.

Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).

Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support during crisis situations, collaborating with school staff and parents to ensure student safety.

Consultation and Training: Provide consultation to educators on mental health issues and behavior management strategies.

Data Analysis: Analyze assessment data to inform instructional practices and support student success, presenting findings to IEP teams as needed.

Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid California School Psychologist Credential.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills are preferred but not required.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
