We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team, providing teletherapy services to K-12 students across Maryland for the full school year.
Position Overview:
As a Virtual SLP, you will play a vital role in enhancing students' communication skills and supporting their academic success. You will assess student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with educators and families to help every student thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student.
- Deliver virtual therapy sessions to students experiencing speech and language challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create effective strategies for student support.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning.
- Provide training and resources for staff and families on speech and language development.
- Stay updated on best practices in speech-language pathology and teletherapy.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Hold or be willing to obtain licensure as an SLP in Maryland.
- Maintain ASHA CCC certification.
- Demonstrate expertise in working with children and adolescents with communication disorders.
- Familiarity with evidence-based interventions for speech and language disorders.
- Comfort and proficiency in utilizing teletherapy platforms and technology.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of students effectively.
