Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) for a school-based role with local school districts. Thisposition provides the opportunity to work in an educational setting, supporting students with diverse needs by helping them achieve their developmental and functional goals.
Position Title: School Occupational Therapist (OT)
Schedule:
- Academic School Year Calendar - Maternity Coverage
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities to develop individualized therapy plans.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on improving their ability to participate in school activities and daily living tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students' needs.
- IEP Participation: Develop and implement goals for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students assessments and progress.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, therapy sessions, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with school district policies and state regulations.
Requirements:
- A current and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state where the school district is located.
- A Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required.
- At least one year of experience as an OT, preferably in a pediatric or school-based setting.
