Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing qualified candidates for a full-time School Psychologist position with school districts in the Fort Smith, AR area. We are seeking dedicated professionals passionate about supporting students' mental, emotional, and academic well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and interventions to students experiencing academic or emotional challenges.
- Assist in developing behavior management plans and offer strategies for improving student performance.
- Promote a safe and positive school environment through crisis intervention, mediation, and conflict resolution services.
- Consult with teachers and staff regarding classroom management techniques and strategies to support students with special needs.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid state School Psychologist certification.
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Completion of a supervised internship in school psychology.
- Knowledge of Georgia state and local policies related to special education and student services.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff.
