Blazerworks is thrilled to collaborate with the school district in Morton, PA, to recruit a passionate and skilled School Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2024-2025 academic year. Position Overview:
As a School Occupational Therapist, youll work with a diverse group of students, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs and helping students improve their abilities in fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and overall independence. You'll collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create effective therapy plans and support each student's goals and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Work with students on daily living skills, motor skills, and sensory integration.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to monitor and support student progress.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school district and state requirements.
- Provide guidance to staff on best practices for supporting students with occupational therapy needs in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
- Valid Pennsylvania OT license.
- School-based experience (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
