Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time role within school districts in the Sarasota, FL area. This role offers a unique opportunity to support students in developing essential communication skills, enhancing their academic and social success.
Position Overview:
- Role: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

- Renewal: Annual contract renewal based on performance
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech and language needs and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver therapy sessions focused on speech, language, voice, fluency, and other communication-related needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support each students communication goals and academic success
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, contributing expertise and recommending strategies to support students progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and monitor progress, making adjustments as needed to meet student goals
Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Licensure: Valid SLP license from the Florida Department of Health
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Clearances: Current background check and TB test as required by local and state regulations
- Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, with strong skills in collaboration and communication
