Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
We are urgently seeking a Bilinugal ( Spanish) dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The SLPA will work under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide support in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help patients improve their communication skills and a commitment to professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in implementing treatment plans for patients with communication disorders.
- Conduct speech and language screenings and provide direct therapy under the supervision of the SLP.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with the SLP to adjust therapy techniques as needed.
- Educate patients and families on strategies for improving communication skills.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations for patient safety and privacy.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
- Current SLPA certification/license as required by the state.
