Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our Occupational Therapist in delivering therapy services to students aged 3 to 22. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing treatment plans and promoting the functional independence of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in one-on-one and group settings under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Monitor and document student progress and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' goals.
- Maintain organized records of therapy sessions and student outcomes.
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed and contribute to discussions about student progress.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid California certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience working with children and young adults, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
