Blazerworks has partnered with the Boulder School District to find a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) for the upcoming school year. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment while making a meaningful impact on students' lives.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide therapeutic interventions to students with various needs, including physical, emotional, and developmental challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Provide guidance and support to staff and families regarding occupational therapy strategies and resources.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments, documentation, and reporting, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive school climate.
- Educate staff and parents about occupational therapy services and the benefits for students.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state license in Occupational Therapy.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
