We are looking for a dedicated professional committed to helping students develop effective communication skills and supporting their educational growth. Position Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid Illinois SLP license or certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric clients (preferred)
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to pass background checks and other district-required screenings
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' unique needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students, addressing speech and language goals in the educational setting
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to integrate therapy into classroom activities and support academic progress
- Document and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to optimize effectiveness
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student goals and accommodations
- Educate and provide resources to families and school staff regarding speech and language development
