Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to work at an alternative school in Bedford, OH, for students with autism. This position involves a caseload of 20-30 students, focusing on psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and interventions. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and staff to create individualized support plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students with autism.
- Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and IEPs.
- Provide counseling and psychological services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure appropriate educational strategies are in place.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress, and services provided.
- Provide recommendations and support for positive behavioral interventions.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology.
- Ohio School Psychologist Licensure required (Ohio Department of Education certification).
- Experience working with students with autism preferred.
- Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to implement behavior interventions and support diverse student needs.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
