Position Overview: As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide assessment, therapy, and intervention to help students with communication and language challenges. Your work will directly contribute to students academic success and personal growth, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support students progress.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide valuable input on students progress and goals.
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements for speech therapy in a school setting.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Louisiana SLP licensure.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
