Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, your primary duties will include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess students speech and language needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Providing direct therapy services to students with communication disorders in individual and group settings.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as necessary.
- Participating in IEP meetings and supporting the development of appropriate goals for students.
- Staying current with best practices in speech-language therapy through ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following local and state qualifications:
- Licensure: Valid Vermont Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Previous experience working as an SLP in a school setting is preferred.
- Clearances: Current background check and fingerprint clearance as required by Vermont state law.
- Additional Requirements: Compliance with all local and state guidelines for school-based SLPs.
