Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate speech and language needs of students in the school districts served.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students, including setting clear goals to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
- Provide virtual therapy services to students with various speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language impairments.
- Regularly monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy goals and strategies to ensure positive outcomes.
- Collaborate remotely with teachers, special education teams, and parents to ensure speech and language goals are supported across settings.
- Participate in IEP meetings via virtual platforms, providing insights and updates on student progress.
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and assessments in accordance with district and state regulations.
- Provide consultation and guidance to parents and educators on how to reinforce speech and language goals outside of therapy sessions.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain before starting).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (or in process).
- Experience in a school-based setting is preferred, especially working with students with speech and language disorders.
- Proficiency in creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and families remotely.
- Ability to work independently in a virtual environment with reliable internet access.
- Must have or be willing to acquire liability insurance (required for 1099 contract work).
- Ability to pass a background check as required by district policies.
