Blazerworks, in partnership with the Oakland school district, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time role in Oakland, CA, for the 2024-2025 school year. This role is a unique opportunity to positively impact students' lives by supporting their development, independence, and success in the classroom.
Position Details:
- Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Location: Oakland, CA
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, for the entire 2024-2025 school year
- Role Summary:
- Work directly with students to enhance fine motor skills, sensory integration, and overall functional performance under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and the OT to implement individualized therapy plans.
- Track and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed to maximize student growth.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for students with varying needs.

Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of California.
- Experience: Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
