Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including but not limited to:
- A valid Washington state Occupational Therapist license
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- A masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
As an Occupational Therapist, your typical responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating students to determine their occupational therapy needs
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Providing direct therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Monitoring and documenting student progress
- Participating in meetings and contributing to the development of school-wide programs
