Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Social Workers for a full-time contract role in the Bensenville, IL area. This position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting students and families, particularly those involved in special education. Candidates must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this role.
Local and State Requirements:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Social Worker in Illinois.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations in Illinois.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students social and emotional needs through observation and interviews.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and support to students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges.
- Facilitate communication between families and the school to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Develop and implement programs to promote student well-being and success.
- Conduct crisis intervention as needed and connect families with community resources.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies related to student welfare.
