Position Details:

Position 1:
- Schedule: 3 days/week, 7.5 hours/day
- Age Group: Transition
- Setting: 2 classrooms in the REACH Program
- Program Focus: Supports students in building therapeutic and pro-social thinking/language skills. Emphasis on disability awareness, self-advocacy, interpersonal communication, initiative, dependability, anger management, conflict resolution, social skills, and self-confidence. Community engagement complements classroom learning to enhance skills toward independence.

Position 2:
- Schedule: 35 hours/week, 7.5 hours/day
- Age Group: K-12
- Setting: Fairhaven School, a special education therapeutic public day program
- Program Focus: Provides a structured, individualized environment for students with Autism, developmental/communication disorders, and sensory needs. Approximately 4-6 classes with 6-8 students each, supported by a 1:1 student-to-teacher ratio.
Licensure Requirements:
- Active Licensure: Candidates must have a relevant license and an active PEL (Professional Educator License). Proof of licensure is required at the time of presentation. Verification can be completed at DFPR License Lookup.
