Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a full-time, contract position in Novato, CA. The SLP will work with elementary-aged students, providing direct therapy and collaborating with educational staff to support students speech and language development. This position offers a great opportunity for an SLP to make a positive impact in a school setting during the spring semester.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders for elementary students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with communication challenges
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students in both individual and small group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students academic and social success
- Track and document student progress, preparing reports for IEP meetings and evaluations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to students' overall educational plans
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding speech and language services
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- California State License in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for helping children develop essential communication skills
