Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position with a school district in the Rutledge, TN area. This role provides a meaningful opportunity to help students enhance their communication skills while working within a collaborative educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student assessments
- Provide therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings, to improve speech and language abilities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support students educational progress
- Document student progress, adjust goals as needed, and communicate updates to the IEP team
- Stay informed on current best practices and innovations in speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid Tennessee SLP License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Understanding of state and federal regulations related to special education and therapy services
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
- Successful completion of all state-required background checks
