Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students emotional, social, and behavioral needs
- Conduct assessments and create intervention plans for students requiring additional social or emotional support
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and external agencies to ensure a well-rounded support network for students
- Act as an advocate for students needs, helping to facilitate communication between school, home, and the community
- Maintain detailed records of services provided and students' progress in accordance with district and state policies
- Develop and implement programs that promote a positive school culture and address barriers to student learning
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work Endorsement
- Strong understanding of state and federal regulations for school-based social work
- Demonstrated experience working in a school or youth-focused environment is highly preferred
- Successful completion of background checks as required by Illinois law
