Blazerworks has partnered with a school district in Coos Bay, OR, to bring on a skilled and dedicated School Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to positively impact students lives, working alongside educators and other specialists to help students overcome obstacles to their learning and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs, developing personalized intervention plans.
- Provide direct therapy to students with a range of needs, including fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive behavior.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support students IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.
- Document and report on student progress, ensuring compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to develop strategies for student success.

Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Oregon OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
