Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time role with school districts in the Oneida, TN area. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with students, teachers, and parents to support the emotional, behavioral, and educational development of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments and provide evaluations for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide counseling services.
- Provide mental health support, including crisis intervention, counseling, and social-emotional learning initiatives.
- Assist in identifying and addressing learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and emotional disturbances.
- Recommend appropriate interventions and accommodations based on assessments.
- Work with school staff to create a positive school climate and support student well-being.
- Participate in meetings related to IEP development, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team assessments.
- Provide training and guidance to teachers and staff on behavior management and mental health support strategies.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Tennessee state licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psycho-educational assessments and evaluations.
- Strong understanding of mental health issues, developmental disabilities, and behavioral interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must meet all local and state background check requirements.
