Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Oakland, California. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to support students in achieving their communication and language development goals. As an SLPA with us, you will collaborate with licensed Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs) to deliver essential services across multiple campuses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students as outlined by the supervising SLPs treatment plans
- Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other educational plans
- Document and track service minutes, progress, and any relevant observations for each student
- Collaborate with the SLP to modify and enhance treatment programs
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student development
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
- Current SLPA license issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an SLPA in a school or pediatric setting
