Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time role with school districts in the Mineral Wells, TX area. This position offers the opportunity to support Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing essential speech therapy services to students and assisting in the development of communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech therapy programs as directed by a licensed SLP.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and small group therapy sessions.
- Monitor and record student progress in therapy and provide feedback to the supervising SLP.
- Prepare materials and assist in the preparation of reports for student assessments and IEP meetings.
- Implement individual therapy goals and strategies as outlined in the IEP.
- Maintain documentation of therapy sessions and student progress in accordance with school district requirements.
- Support students in improving their speech and language skills in both academic and social settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure effective communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or related field.
- Valid Texas state licensure as an SLPA.
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Must meet all local and state background check requirements.
