Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Minnesota. As an SLP, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders. Your role will focus on helping students develop essential skills that support their academic success, communication, and social development. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to evaluate students communication abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Provide one-on-one and small group therapy sessions to address speech and language challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to monitor progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies and tools to promote student progress.
- Provide support and guidance to staff on strategies to enhance communication in the classroom.
- Participate in IEP meetings, assist in setting goals, and provide progress updates to parents and guardians.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy services, student progress, and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Minnesota state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or ability to obtain licensure.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience in working with children in educational or clinical settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and treatment techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
